This is What I'm Talking About

Having a foot tan from my Toms.

Wearing such loose-fitting clothes to keep cool that I can feel a slight breeze all over as I walk down the street.

Feeling like the night air is a blanket all on its own when it's just too hot for sheets.

Iced coffees, twice a day.

Cold showers, twice a day.

The flowers blooming in the garden making the air all around the house smell of lilies.

The golden hour seeming to last about two or three times longer than usual.

Sitting on the front porch reading a book, just to be outside.

This summer heat is amazing. I feel so much more at home in the world when I can interact with the elements without four layers between me and the air. Whenever I say I'm missing the sun, this is what I'm talking about.
